my toilet was broken a year ago and I never learned how to fix it until now I saw that it was the color of the cover that was used, and thus draining the reservoir and the water and wastewater mine was here goes it is therefore a Eljer Toilet Parts Speical Kinda made for the bathroom or can I buy these generic components, to find at Wal Mart as the beating of age, or should I buy and use?

Turn off the water outside and remove the cover, find and replace. It should work well. Be sure to clean the surface when it is closed. If you do not shut down, put a thin layer of Vaseline on the merits of the new door.
Front door and walk to the local ACE hardware. Have you always difficult and very competent staff. This is where my replacement after a few tries at Lowe's to sell me replacement universal. They had the exact I needed. Do not engaging at Walmart you to ACE.
